Aubrey ReneƩ Silverthorne

That is my newest niece, Aubrey. She is awesome. Here she is with her cousin Alyse who preceded her by less than two weeks. She too is awesome. Together they are too awesome, and too cute.

**A picture of the cousins three has yet to be taken. I will post it when I can.

...he lead the others with a "quack, quack, quack."

This is Jack's new thing: sticking his tongue out. He has been doing it randomly for a while now, but recently he has started sticking his tongue out basically every time he smiles. I think it may be because he just grew a new tooth, which is on the bottom next to his first two. Anyhow, it's pretty cute.

This blog is mainly serving as an update on Jack. He's sticking his tongue out, he just cut a new tooth, he now weighs 17 lbs 6 oz, and is 25 3/4 inches long. He just (and I mean today) started really jumping in his Jumperoo (i'll be posting a video soon.)

We got back the other day from visiting our sweet little niece Alyse ( i love that those words rhyme.) It was neat seeing the two little cousins together-- and seeing Andrea, about to pop with the third little cousin. It was cool because after we left Longview, we stopped in Nacogdoches to see the Gunters, and it was so cute because Andy (now two years old)was making Jack laugh so hard-- harder than I've ever heard him laugh. It got me really excited about seeing Jack with his little cousins when they are old enough to laugh. For some reason babies like to look at other babies. It's almost like Jack felt like he finally had a friend who could understand him.
So yeah, I'm really excited about the three cousins hanging out. And with that, I'll leave you with this picture of Jack trying to figure out what Alyse is all about.

Son, you got a panty on your head.

Having a father like Jeremy, Jack was bound to have a picture taken like this eventually.

Niece Alyse

(I love this picture.)

I'm very proud to have Alyse as my niece, and Jack is very pleased to FINALLY have a cousin. Geez, he's been waiting his whole life for this. The whole four months of his life.

It's fun!!!!

This commercial came on one day while I was cleaning-- and I had to stop what I was doing and hit record (God bless you, Tivo.)

A combination of enthusiastic, and somewhat scary children and random close-ups makes this commercial worthy of YouTube.

I do tube.

TOE NO!!

Well, it happened again. I hit my freakin' toe on my freakin' pantry door! Ouch. Much more painful than before. Bye bye little toenail. I took a picture but it's much too gross for posting.

On a happier note, I get to meet my first niece tomorrow....sweet.

Jack don't roll that way.

As you all know, Jack has become quite the little rollin' baby. I was looking up info on baby development yesterday, and made a shocking discovery. Jack started rolling around 3 1/2 months-- and that is normal, even a little earlier than most babies. The shocking thing is that most babies first learn to roll from tummy to back first-- and then later (maybe five to six months of age)will learn to roll from back to tummy. But that is the only way Jack rolls. Normally I would think this is due to Jack's super baby intelligence, but since he only knows how to roll back to tummy, I think his mind just works differently than most babies...or maybe he just likes being different...or maybe he's just rebellious-- like he only rolls onto his stomach because I put him on his back. Maybe I should try to use a little reverse psychology. Perhaps if I put him on his stomach he'll be like "what? lady, I don't want to be on my stomach!" Anyway, he gets pretty tired when he is on his stomach for too long-- but it's funny because I'll roll him over onto his back and he'll just roll back over to his stomach and start crying. Crazy kid. Anyhow, just wanted to update you all... he's still awesome. Duh.

That's right, woodchuck-chuckers, it's GROUNDHOG DAY!

Not only is today Groundhog Day, but it also marks the one year mark of us finding out we were pregnant.

So here's to you, Jack. And here's to you, Phil.

This is pitiful. A thousand people freezing their butts off, waiting to worship a rat. You know, Groundhog Day used to mean something in this town. They used to pull the hog out and they used to eat it. You're hypocrites. All a ya.

Keep them froggies movin'

Jack shows off his impressive new ability... and also his cute frog outfit.

**As Jeremy pointed out, I am particularly fond of this outfit because of how much it makes Jack look like this little guy:
