Put a wet rag on that kid's head.

I was just uploading some pictures to put on Flickr, and I wanted to blog a few of them.

Here are some pictures of Jack after a rare 2 hour nap. He's got some seriously kickin' sleep hair.

And here's a pretty sweet picture of Jeremy playing with Jack on his lunch break. (Jeremy's not Jack's.)

Also, here is a picture of the sunset that was taken from our balcony.

My dignity, sir.

This has definitely been one of Henri's most humiliating moments. Apparently the movers see him as nothing more than a piece of furniture or a box. As if holding people's keys and wallets isn't degrading enough, the movers have to go ahead and put one of these stickers on his head. It's preposterous! He's not even holding his tray, for crying out loud. I haven't yet found it amidst the sea of boxes. But when I do, you better believe I'll return Henri to his full glory.

Well, 1 down, 6 to go.

...I find a little fella who's cute and yella and chubby...

Dude, Jack's new rubber ducky is sweet! (That's one of the reasons I had a baby is so that I can buy cute ducks like this and pretend they are for my son.)

Whatever, he's awesome and that's all you need to know.

(Jack's awesome too.)
(Duh.)

Just close your sleepy little eyeballs.

Here are some pictures of Jeremy, Jenna and Jack napping in our blank apartment. The movers should be here Monday so we'll be able to make the apartment not-so-blank. You'll see that we had to use Jeremy's Cardinals shirt as a make-shift blanket for Jack because his blankets were at the hotel.

Notice how small Jack's room is (the room in which Jeremy is laying.)

Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy.

This is Jack's first encounter with a balloon*.

Can anyone help me? What song is playing in the background of this video? I think I know, but Jeremy disagrees with me.

*Balloons are not toys.

Naked babies, runnin' around Wal-Mart...

Well we're here. In Colorado. It's pretty strange. We are living in a hotel right now because it's gonna take a week for the movers to get here with our stuff. It's difficult taking care of Jack in a hotel because of naps and things, but it will be over in a week.

This town is surprisingly ugly. The towns surrounding it are very pretty and green, but Brighton.. not so much. It's just a dinky little town.

I took this picture from our hotel window, but it's zoomed in quite a bit.

Here are a few Brighton tidbits for you:

There are there a lot of hicks!
There are a couple of weird roundabouts.
We've discovered a good hamburger place called Good Times. It's pretty delicious.

I don't really have anything else to report on this town, but I'll keep you updated.

In Jack news, he's still awesome! I offer some pictures as proof.

I'm sure you are confused by that last picture. No, Jack has not learned how to chew and blow bubble gum. That's just me blowing a bubble and putting it up to his mouth. Tricky, no? The reason for me blowing bubble gum in Jack's face was to make him laugh. I hope to you tube a video of him laughing at my bubble blowing soon. He thinks it's hilarious.

I guess that's all for now.

Lame post, I know, but I don't care. Jack pictures make everything better.

Such Sweet Sorrow

Well, it's time. Time for me to shake off the dust of this one-horse town... oh wait... I'm GOING to a one-horse town. My mistake.

I'm tired and have a lot to do but before I leave I wanted to make my last Texas post (for a while anyway). If I had more time I would go on and on about how awesome Texas is and how of course we will come back after a couple of years because it's just that awesome and I will never have Colorado loyalty, and if I have my next child in Colorado, I will LIE to him/her and say that he/she was indeed born in TEXAS. Yes I would say all that but I don't have time!! Must go!! Must pack!! No time for dilly- dallying!!

Anyhow, I don't want to get all mushy, so I'll let the Muppets do it for me.

Amy from Texas, out.

"Looky what he can do!"

Jack decided that just climbing around our downstairs wasn't enough. The other day, on his own accord, Jack crawled to the stairs and started going up. This video shows his third attempt at climbing the stairs, and it saddens me because of how much more impressive his second try was. I was behind him and he didn't even have a toy enticing him...just the thrill of adventure, I suppose. I followed him up to the landing and then he decided on his own that he wanted to go to the top. It's nice knowing that we are moving so we don't have to worry about him climbing up those stairs. Kind of scary.

You may be confused that we are still in our house. Yes, I am too. I'm sure Jeremy will tell us all about it soon, so I won't bother with it here. Suffice it to say that due to some seriously half-assed HR work, he won't be starting for several days... but I don't talk about that.

Hope you enjoyed Jack's impressive new ability.

G'night!
